Education
Education forms the bedrock which determines future of any society. India is blessed to have prioritised education since the ancient and medieval times and also built the world’s first University at Taxila. Unfortunately, the advent of colonialism led to a decline in the education in society. This trend was checked partially through the efforts of our countrymen who advocated education for all Indians during the British rule. After independence, we have had three Education Policy at for the nation, the latest being the National Education Policy, 2020.
For PNE Society, education forms the first virtue that the society was seek to promote. Even after two decades, it remains a major focus area for us. The last twenty years have seen the society carry out work in educating underprivileged children, adult literacy, functional literacy for out of school children, improving learning outcomes and promotion of vocational education.
